Probiotics, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea and Clostridium difficile diarrhoea in humans.

Probiotics are living organisms which, when ingested, have a beneficial therapeutic effect. Examples are bacteria, especially Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG, and the yeast Saccharomyces boulardii.
